About
Airblue is a low-cost airline founded in 2003 and headquartered in Islamabad, Pakistan. It is a private airline operating domestic and international flights to Oman, Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates.
Travel Class
Airblue offers three fare options. Discount: This is a budget travel fare option for light passengers with an allowance of 1 hand baggage and no check-in baggage. Passengers can also reschedule or cancel their tickets with a refund at higher charges. A bonus of 50% miles points is also applicable in this fare option. Standard: This fare option allows passengers to carry one check-in luggage and one hand baggage with an allowance of 100% miles points. The passengers can also reschedule or cancel the tickets at a nominal fee. Premium: This fare option is the most comfortable and allows the passengers to carry 2 check-in luggage and one hand baggage. The passengers have access to priority boarding, preferred seating, if available along with 150% allowance of miles points. The tickets can be rescheduled at free of charge and cancelled with a refund at minimal charges.
Frequent Flyer Program
BlueMiles is the frequent flyer program for Airblue. Members can earn mileage points by flying with the airline. These points can be redeemed for award tickets, award upgrade, value-added services. To receive a membership card, the member should have at least 2000 points.
Baggage allowance
For Economy Discount fare, passengers are only allowed to carry one hand baggage of 7kgs. The passengers are allowed to carry hand baggage than can weigh up to 7 kgs and one check-in luggage weighing up to 30kgs for Economy Standard ticket. Economy Premium allows passengers to carry one hand baggage of 7 kgs and two check-in luggage. Charges are applicable for extra baggage allowance.
Check-in
Domestic Flight Passengers can check-in online or at the check-in counter 4 hrs prior to the scheduled departure time. International Flight Passengers can check-in online or at the check-in counter 2 hrs prior to the scheduled departure time.
In-flight Services
Airblue offers passengers with a buy-on-board menu which consists of snacks, hot/cold beverages. All special meals can be requested 24 hours before departure by contacting the airline directly to know more about the options.
Onboard Support
Airblue provides assistance to passengers with special needs. Wheelchairs, airport assistance during check-in are provided by on-ground staff. Passengers can choose a service that best suits their needs. Expectant mothers, parents of unaccompanied children, differently-abled personals by directly contacting customer care. Passengers are requested to contact the airline directly for all queries.
Refund and Cancellation
Passengers can cancel their booking either through Airblue’s sales’ offices or website. All cancellations are subject to a cancellation fee.
